Two holes fixed before the first customer

The context

A French premium secondhand marketplace: every piece is unique, inspected, refreshed. In this business, product presentation makes the sale. Showing every piece worn, properly, across a catalog that changes constantly: that is a tooling problem as much as a photography one.

The challenge

The COO built the tools himself, without a developer team: an app that batch-generates pictures of models wearing the pieces, and a second one that orchestrates photo retouching, clients and projects. Apps at the heart of the product, with usage metering and real data inside. Before relying on them, they needed to know they would hold.

The solution

The BWorlds entry audit reviewed the apps before production. It caught two serious holes, fixed before they reached a single customer: a usage-metering race condition and an admin privilege escalation. Both apps have run under BWorlds monitoring and maintenance since, 24/7.

"That's what the checks are for. The things you can't test when you're building alone."
